About Uju

Uju Anwukah is a thorough breed Public Health Professional. She obtained her BSc. in Biochemistry with First Class Honours from Southern Methodist University, Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences in the United States of America. She also has certificate in Public Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health. Uju proceeded to King’s College London for a Diploma in Public Health from the Faculty of Life Science and Medicine. She has certificate in Sustainable Business Strategy in Health from Harvard Business School. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Global Health from the Faculty of Life Science and Medicine, King’s College, London. Her commitment to continuous learning and personal growth has led her to pursue ongoing studies in Law, expanding her capacity to address social justice issues and make a positive impact.

Uju Vanstasia Anwukah is currently the Special Assistant to the President of Federal Republic of Nigeria on Public Health. She has also worked in Imo State Nigeria on Population and Health Matters. Uju sits on the board of Rochas Foundation, actively contributing to philanthropic initiatives determined to mitigate the challenge of out-of-school children in Nigeria. She oversees the Health and Outreach programmes in the Foundation.

Uju has been bringing her experience to bear in Public Health through collaborations with NGO’s and Governmental Organization for Sustainable development. She is the Country Director and Founder of U-Save Foundation. She has worked closely with Environmental Health Registration Council of Nigeria (EHRECON) in the area of Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Project to ensure access to clean water, proper sanitation anf hygiene for Local Communities.

Uju is passionate healthcare innovation and technology, Uju firmly believes that improving these areas can greatly enhance the well-being and quality of life for individuals and communities. Her problem-solving skills and innovative mindset enable her to approach challenges with creativity and find practical solutions.

With a diverse range of experiences, Uju has made significant contributions in her numerous roles. She is driven by a desire to mentor and empower young individuals, particularly young girls, and has actively participated in youth mentoring programs such as her role as a mentor at Leadership Pulse. Through her genuine dedication to nurturing the next generation of leaders, Uju has left a lasting impact on the lives of those she has mentored.

In her personal life, Uju enjoys exploring different cultures through travel and finds joy in singing and working out. She recognizes the importance of maintaining a balance between her personal and professional commitments, serving as a role model for achieving harmony in all aspects of life.
